Privacy Policy

Last updated · May 18, 2026

This privacy policy applies to Flower Identifier, an iOS app published by Applied Intelligence Tools and Applications("we", "our", "us"). Flower Identifier helps you identify flowers, get care tips, and explore species at a glance. We treat your data with the same care we'd expect for our own. This page explains what Flower Identifier collects, why, and how we handle it.

The short version

  • Photos you scan stay on your device. We don't upload them to our servers, and we don't store them anywhere we control.
  • Identification and any in-app chat run through a third-party AI provider. Your photo and message are sent securely for that single request and are not used to train models we don't control.
  • We don't sell your data and we don't run ad trackers.
  • Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple. We never see your card number.

What Flower Identifier collects

  • Photos you choose to scan. When you take or pick a photo to identify a flower, the image is processed on your device and, where AI inference is required, sent securely to our AI provider for that single identification. The image is not retained on our servers after the response is returned.
  • Identification results. The species, confidence, and notes returned by the AI are saved on your device so you can revisit them in your history. They never leave your device unless you choose to share them.
  • Assistant messages. When you chat with the in-app flower assistant, your message and any attached image are sent securely to our AI provider so it can answer. We do not retain a copy of your conversation on our servers.
  • Approximate location (optional). If you grant permission, Flower Identifier may use your approximate location to improve regional accuracy and surface relevant species information. You can revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings.
  • Subscription state.Your active subscription status is read from Apple's StoreKit so the app knows whether to unlock Pro features. Apple's receipts may be validated via Apple servers.
  • Diagnostics. If you opt in via iOS, anonymous crash logs and aggregated usage signals (e.g. number of scans, feature counters) help us fix bugs and prioritize improvements. These do not identify you.
  • Support emails. If you write to support@appliedintelligencetools.com, we keep your message only as long as we need to answer you.

What Flower Identifier does not do

  • We do not sell or rent your data.
  • We do not embed third-party advertising trackers.
  • We do not use your photos or messages to train models we control.
  • We do not require you to create an account to scan a flower.

Third-party services

Flower Identifier relies on a small number of third-party services to do its job:

  • Apple StoreKit & App Store. Handles all subscription purchases, free trials, and renewals. Governed by Apple's privacy policy.
  • AI inference provider. Powers the photo identification and assistant features. Requests are transmitted over HTTPS and are not used to train public models.
  • Apple-hosted analytics & crash reports. Available only when you opt in via iOS Settings. Reports are anonymous.

Subscriptions and billing

Flower Identifier offers a Pro subscription with two billing options:

  • Monthly: $6.99 / month (billed monthly).
  • Annual: $29.99 / year, with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers.

Prices shown above are in USD and reflect typical pricing; the exact amount in your local currency, including any taxes, is shown by Apple on the in-app purchase screen before you confirm. Payment is taken by Apple from the payment method on file with your Apple ID. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your device.

Children

Flower Identifier is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the app and provided personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Your rights

You can delete the app at any time, which removes all locally stored history. To request deletion of any support correspondence we hold, email support@appliedintelligencetools.com from the address you used.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page tells you when. Material changes will be highlighted in-app where relevant.
