  • No sign-up. BabyGPT creates an anonymous account automatically. We never ask for your name, email address, or phone number.
  • Your conversations stay on your device. Messages and attachments are sent to Google’s Gemini AI to generate a reply, but we do not keep a copy on our servers.
  • Your child’s profile and tracking entries are stored only on your device and are never sent to our servers or to the AI.
  • We do not store your messages, photos, or documents in the cloud.
  • No advertising, no tracking across other apps or websites, and no sale of your data.
  • Apple processes all payments. We never see your card details.
  • Please avoid entering your child’s full name or other details that identify them.

1. Introduction

BabyGPT is an iOS app operated by Emrah Korkmaz under the name Applied Intelligence Tools and Applications (“we,” “our,” or “us”). BabyGPT is an AI parenting assistant for new and expecting parents, with baby-photo questions, everyday care tools, and milestone tracking. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the BabyGPT mobile application (the “App”), available on the Apple App Store.

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information collected automatically

  • Anonymous account identifier. On first launch, the App signs you in anonymously with Firebase Authentication, which creates a random identifier. It is not linked to your name, email address, Apple ID, or any other information that identifies you. We use it to secure access to our backend and AI services and it may also be attached to analytics and crash reports.
  • Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the App is used: screens viewed, features and tools used (for example, starting a chat, opening a calculator), subscription screen interactions, and session information. Analytics events include the first 40 characters of each chat message you send, but not your attachments.
  • Crash and diagnostic data. We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports, error logs, and stack traces, together with device model, operating system version, and app version, so we can find and fix problems.
  • Device and app information. Firebase services collect general technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, time zone, a Firebase installation identifier, and an approximate region (such as country) inferred from your IP address.
  • App integrity. We use Firebase App Check with Apple’s App Attest service to confirm that requests to our services come from a genuine copy of the App on a genuine Apple device.
  • App configuration. We use Firebase Remote Config to deliver settings such as usage limits and the AI model in use.
  • Subscription data. We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat assigns an anonymous customer identifier and processes your subscription status, purchase and renewal history, and related App Store transaction information. Payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never receive or store your payment card details or your Apple ID.

2.2 Information you provide

  • AI chat messages and attachments. When you use the AI assistant or an AI analysis feature, your message or any context you add, earlier messages from the same conversation (for context), and any photo you attach (such as photos of your baby’s skin or a rash, or of formula and product labels) are sent to Google’s Gemini AI to generate a response. Your conversations, including attachments, are stored locally on your device so you can revisit them. We do not store your conversations on our servers.
  • Profile information. If you create a baby profile, its name, birthday, gender, and optional photo are stored only on your device. Milestone entries you log, such as weight, height, head circumference, feeding, sleep, diaper counts, and notes, are also stored only on your device. This information is not sent to our servers or to the AI. Milestone entries are deleted by “Clear All Data”; the baby profile stays on your device until you delete the App.
  • Calculators and clinical tools. Values you enter into the built-in calculators and scores are processed on your device.
  • Support requests. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever information you choose to include.

2.3 Device permissions

  • Camera. Used only when you choose to take a photo to attach to a chat. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings.
  • Photos. Attaching a photo uses the iOS photo picker, so the App only receives the specific photos you select.
  • The App does not request access to your location, contacts, microphone, or Apple Health data, and does not ask for permission to track you.

2.4 Information we do not collect

  • We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or postal address (unless you email us).
  • We do not collect or store payment card information.
  • We do not collect your precise location.
  • We do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
  • We do not ask for, and you should avoid entering, your child’s full name or other details that identify them in chat messages.

3. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • Provide the App’s features, including the AI assistant, image review, and calculators.
  • Manage subscriptions and free-use limits, including verifying whether you have access to premium features.
  • Keep the App secure, prevent abuse, and protect our AI services from unauthorized use.
  • Understand usage, fix crashes, and improve the App.
  • Respond to support requests and communicate with you when you contact us.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

Where data protection laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of our contract with you (to provide the App and your subscription); our legitimate interests (security, analytics, crash reporting, and improving the App); your consent (for device permissions and for any health information you choose to share, as described in Section 4); and compliance with legal obligations.

We do not use your conversations or uploads to train AI models, and we do not sell your information or use it for advertising.

4. Health information and patient data

  • BabyGPT is not designed to store or process protected health information. It is not a HIPAA-compliant service, and we do not enter into business associate agreements.
  • If you are a healthcare professional, only use de-identified information. Remove names, dates of birth, record numbers, faces, and other identifiers from your messages, images, and documents, including labels and text embedded in images, before sharing them with the App.
  • If you choose to describe your own health, you do so voluntarily and consent to that information being processed by us and Google for the sole purpose of generating a response. It is not stored on our servers.
  • If you describe your child’s health or attach photos of your child, you do so as their parent or legal guardian and consent to that information being processed by Google to generate a response. Avoid including your child’s full name or other details that identify them.

5. AI processing by Google Gemini

The App’s AI features are powered by Google’s Gemini models, accessed through Firebase AI Logic. Please be aware that:

  • Your messages and attachments are sent to Google’s servers to generate a response.
  • Google processes this content under its own terms and privacy policy and may keep it for a limited period for abuse monitoring and legal compliance.
  • Chat history is stored locally on your device only.
  • AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete and is not medical advice. See our Terms of Use.

6. Third-party services

The App relies on the following service providers, each with its own privacy policy:

Privacy policies: Google, Firebase, RevenueCat, and Apple.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, or share it for advertising. We may disclose information if required by law or legal process, to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users, the public, or ourselves, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply.

7. Data storage and security

  • On your device: chat history (including attachments), profile information, preferences, and usage counters are stored locally and protected by iOS data protection.
  • In the cloud: only your anonymous account identifier is stored, with Firebase Authentication. We do not store your conversations or attachments in the cloud.
  • In transit: all network communication between the App and these services is encrypted with TLS.

We use commercially reasonable safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data retention

  • Chat history and other local data: kept on your device until you delete it in the App or delete the App.
  • Anonymous account: kept for as long as needed to provide the App, or until you ask us to delete it.
  • Analytics data: retained according to our Google Analytics settings, for no longer than 14 months at the event level.
  • Crash data: retained by Firebase Crashlytics for 90 days.
  • AI requests: not retained by us. Google may retain them for a limited period under its terms.
  • Subscription records: retained by RevenueCat and Apple as needed to manage subscriptions and meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
  • Support emails: kept for as long as needed to resolve your request.

9. Your rights and choices

  • Delete your data: use “Clear All Data” in the App’s Settings tab to remove your chat history and milestone entries from your device.
  • Delete your anonymous account: email us at support@appliedintelligencetools.com. Because we do not know who you are, we may ask for details that help us find the data associated with your device. Deleting the App removes its locally stored data (a small free-use counter kept in the iOS Keychain may remain), but it does not automatically delete your anonymous account from Firebase Authentication.
  • Analytics and crash reporting: if you object to this processing, contact us. You can stop all data collection at any time by uninstalling the App.
  • Permissions: you can change camera and photo access at any time in iOS Settings.

Under the CCPA, as amended by the CPRA, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion or correction, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. 10. Children’s privacy

The App is designed for new and expecting parents and other adult caregivers. It is meant to be used by adults, not by children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 16. Information you record about your child stays on your device, except for what you choose to include in a chat message or photo, which is sent to Google’s Gemini AI to generate a response as described above. If you believe a child has used the App and provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

11. International data transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where Google and RevenueCat operate their services. These countries may have different data protection laws. Where required, we rely on safeguards offered by these providers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, for material changes, provide notice in the App where appropriate. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.

13. Contact us

If you have questions, concerns, or requests about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, contact Emrah Korkmaz at support@appliedintelligencetools.com.
